Based at Lysaker, Norway, the Cisco TelePresence camera team has become a specialist R&D centre for the design and implementation of video camera solutions. We design and develop a wide range of video cameras for use in close integration with Cisco video conferencing infrastructure to provide the users with an unsurpassed video conferencing experience. The camera team is a highly cross-disciplinary team handling all aspects of the development of these complex products. We now have an open position within our software team for a candidate with experience in embedded systems and motor control. Responsibilities: • Develop optimized drivers for motor control of camera pan, tilt, zoom, iris and focus motors • Develop s/w for automatic control of camera parameters such as exposure and colors. • Device drivers for camera peripherals. • Maintenance and improvements to existing code base • Liaising with other groups within R&D to ensure usability of cross-product features. Requirements: • Fluent in C programming language. • Experience with motor control systems. • Knowledge of automatic control. • Experience with embedded real-time s/w. • Knowledge of scripting languages. • A doer mindset.
