Software Developer - USA

Provide solutions that will improve daily processes and help the company become more efficient and fruitful by leveraging technology. This will primarily involve developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining custom software. We currently have an immediate opening for a Software Developer in our Cary, NC office.
Essential Job Functions

• Provide solutions to help solve business problems and automate/improve processes
• Assist with developing, testing and deploying software solutions
• Maintain, improve and provide support for server and web-based applications
• Provide training to ensure all employees have the knowledge and confidence to get the most benefit from the company’s technology investments
• Maintain up-to-date documentation regarding system configurations, technology-related assets, and software licensing
• Assist with day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, and problem resolution
• Continually seek out and learn new techniques and technologies we can use to become more productive, and make our systems more reliable and easier to maintain/extend

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years commercial experience in software development
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, ASP.NET/C# and SQL databases
• Ability to document, verbalize and organize thoughts, and work well with internal and external customers.
• Excellent problem solving skills - ability to solve problems and quickly learn without formal training
• Proactive – Must be willing to seek out information and solutions that are pertinent to their responsibilities and key to their delivery
• Must be willing to remediate code written by others
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with full development lifecycle in enterprise, n-Tiered, SOA environment
• Experience with the following technologies: Microsoft SQL Server, IIS, C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, AJAX, HTTP, Web Services, Source Control, Unit Testing, Visual Studio 2010
• Basic server and database administration
• Experience with relational database design and tuning
• Creativity, knowledge of web site design standards and usability
• Strong communicator, able to effectively work as a member of a development team
