Responsibilities:
- Work independently or in a team environment in the collection and documentation of requirements for new, modified, or acquired software components.
- Work independently or in a team environment in designing new software components with limited guidance from engineering managers and other staff engineers.
- Work independently or in a team environment in integrating acquired software components into an existing software platform/baseline.
- Work independently or in a team environment in the coding and testing of software components and features for iOS, Symbian OS, Windows Phone, Android and other mobile operating systems using C/C++/Java and other programming languages.
- Work independently or in a team environment in developing verification mechanisms, such as simulation tools, for new and acquired software components.
- Work independently or in a team environment in supporting and extending existing software components.
- Work with various lab equipment such as GSM/GPRS/EGPRS/UMTS Base Station Simulators and Logic Analyzers.
- Work with on / off shore development and QA teams.
Requirements:
- Operating Systems (Various Mobile OSs, iPhone, Symbian, Windows Phone, Android and RTOS)
- Programming Languages (C, C++, Java, Markup Languages)
- J2ME (mobile Java), Dalvik
- Software Development Environment (Configuration management systems and Bug tracking systems)
- Software Design Methodologies (OOD, Architecture Based Design)
- Mobile Terminal Architecture
- Digital hardware test equipment operation
- Research Experience
- Experience in writing conference/Journal papers
- Experience in writing technical documentation
- Experience in managing subcontractors
- Project management skills
- Experienced in working with global teams
- Willing to travel if needed
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Masters Degree in Computer Science
