We are immediately seeking a Web Developer to join our team. This position will maintain/enhance the FAA’s Scenario Processing and Organization Tool (SPOT) web application used for managing air traffic controller training scenarios. Position will be located at or near the FAA WJHTC near Atlantic City, NJ. This position will be a team member of the tools development group.
This group is responsible for a variety of software support tools to improve the Air Traffic Control system across the US. This role does not require a college degree; however a Computer Science degree is preferred.
Job Requirements
Candidate must have at least 5 years of software development experience and should have experience in several of the following areas:- ColdFusion
- JavaScript
- HTML
- CSS
- SQL (preferably experience working with MySQL databases)
- Java
- Experience with Object-oriented programming techniques
- Experience in relational database design
- Experience working with XML
- Experience working with ExtJS JavaScript Framework a plus
- Experience with other JavaScript libraries (jQuery, Underscore.js, Yahoo User Interface) a plus
- Basic Unix/Linux experience a plus
