Our need:
We need you to put your talents to work to make a big impact on our products and our company. We are looking for a high-energy QA engineer. This is a chance to solve problems and make our Globys clients happy. You’ll be working closely with software engineers and product management to improve the Globys software products.
Responsibilities:
- Perform black box testing for web based features and bug fixes
- Ability to review code to help identify code related issues
- Write and execute clear and concise test plans, test cases, test scripts, and defect reports
- Areas of responsibility include functional testing, security and access validation, regression testing, installation testing, test data definition, backend testing and environment maintenance
- Troubleshoots and provide RCA for production bugs
- Enter and maintain bug records in a defect tracking database (JIRA)
- Analyze application log files, crash dumps, network traces, etc
- Proactively learn new technologies to improve the depth of testing.
As we support a number of international customers, working hours for the position will be 2pm to 11pm Monday through Friday.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of testing experience
- Background in testing web sites
- Knowledge of testing database-driven applications
- Experience with software development lifecycles and testing methodologies
- Ability to write SQL queries
- Ability to meet deadlines and deliver with high quality
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with C#, .NET, ASPX, ASP, and/or COM
- Experience with automated testing tool
- Experience using VMware products
