Genedata is looking for a talented individual to join a team of developers for our Expressionist product. This team pioneers new methods to analyze and visualize gigabytes of data making use of all available system resources on both client and server machines. We are exploring the limits of Java to provide fast and efficient solutions for scientific computing and to create interactive and visually pleasing analytic results.
We're looking for a smart developer who must:
• be a keen and quick learner
• show aptitude in understanding problems
• be self-motivated
• have 1-3 years experience
As an agile development team we:
• ensure thoughtful, responsibility driven design
• design elegant and snappy UIs and visualizations
• enhance performance wherever possible (e.g. multithreading)
• are critical of each other's design and coding
• write quality focussed code in a casual work environment
Genedata developers both learn and cultivate skills in the following areas:
• Core Java
• General data structures
• Object-oriented software development & design patterns
• GUI design (typically Swing & Java 2D)
• Client-server communication (typically RMI)
With more than 10 years experience in expert Java development, Genedata offers an exciting learning experience for even the most talented Java developers. The ideal candidate will help us grow our already extensive knowledge of high performance data analysis, data management, IO, and visualization of large data volumes.
