Description:	Vistronix is actively seeking an Oracle DBA to join our project team in Washington, DC. This is a great opportunity for someone with general IT experience and Oracle DBA skills looking for an opportunity that will allow skills growth and collaboration with other IT professionals. In this position, you will: Provide database administration support, tuning, and back-up for primarily Oracle databases Assist with the development and design of complex queries to respond to stakeholder request Provide verification and validation of data queries submitted by other IT staff members Install, maintain, upgrade and administer full-featured databases Work with senior IT team members to manage the development of database projects, load analysis, and back-up and recovery of data Build database scheme, tables, procedures and permissions Assist with the planning, design, development, and modification of complex database structures, and database administration tools using current products and programming languages
Requirements:	The most successful candidates will have: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a directly related Information Technology field A minimum of 5 years of experience directly related IT support experience with at least 3 of those years performing as a DBA Experience with Oracle and SQL Server 2008 running on Windows XP Ability to communicate complex information well using MS Office SQL Server 2005/2008 certifications (may count  towards some experience) SQL Server 2005/2008 Analysis/Integration/Reporting Services Windows/SQL performance monitoring, tuning, and error resolution Visual Studio .NET The successful candidate will be subject to a background investigation by the government and must be able to meet the requirements to hold a position of public trust.
