Ansaldo STS USA, Inc. has an immediate need for a Software C++ Developing Engineer:

Job Location: This position will be located in ASTS USA Headquarters in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Duties:
--Develop software applications for the freight railroad dispatching systems to include various design/coding/testing duties related to a particular part of the functionality required to deploy a Dispatching System.

--Person develop C++ applications that could range from predominantly information system applications to more specific control applications

Required Skills:
- MUST have strong experience with C++ and OO Development
- MUST have strong experience with Linux/UNIX Operating System Environment
- Software Design Experience.
- 3 Tier Architecture Experience.
- X Windows or Motif Experience.
- Distributed Systems Experience.
- Full Life-cycle development and have deployment experience as well.
- GUI development (both creating forms and developing the code behind the forms).
- Ability to work well with other people as part of a development team, not looking for someone that works on their own.

Desired Skills:
-X Designer, Rail experience,
-Real Time development (not embedded systems), command and control systems experience
-Red Hat distribution
-Oracle DB environment
-Standard Template Library (STL)
-Large scale applications development

Mission

Support the process owner to develop, reuse or adapt solutions for the implementation of a product/ component in order to foster standardization

Accountabilities
Support the proper requirement’s management (identification & apportionment between GA and SA) for all the phases of the product/ component lifecycle
Contribute to the design and the implementation of a complete solution (components, documentation and tools)
Contribute to provide the proper level of support to the other functional units (RAMS, Verification, Manufacturing, Test & Commissioning,..)
Contribute to the application of common methodologies, technical solutions and best practices in coherence with the Development function

Performance Criteria
Completeness and quality of the deliveries
Delivery of GA/GP/SA component according to the schedule
