1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering (computer science, mechanical, or electrical). MBA or related Master’s degree preferred.
2. Minimum 7 years of experience in the IT industry with at least few years of experience at senior level. Experience in Agile methodologies is preferred

Job Summary:
The Head of Engineering Services will be an integral part of Verisk Information Technologies management team. This individual will join a team of over 360 professionals in Kathmandu that are developing some of the most innovative IT platforms in the risk management and health care informatics domains. The Head of Engineering Services will oversee a range of projects originating from Verisk Analytics’ subsidiaries, as well as some non-Verisk corporations sited at US.
Responsibilities:
1. The candidate will establish long and short term goals and objectives for business development, growth and individual employee achievements.
2. Deploy effective project management techniques while working in conjunction with the Project Management Office to allocate resources and prioritize projects.
3. Ensure that the right technical and human resources are in place to support project excellence.
4. Ability to identify problems, prioritize what needs to be done, and stay focused on the priority items to meet the department’s goals.
5. Head of Engineering will have to manage, support and provide direction and leadership to Managers & Team Leaders.
6. The candidate must be able to work effectively in a team environment and ability to communicate effectively with non-IT stakeholders.
7. The candidate should act as people managers, where he/she will conduct performance reviews, determine promotions & provide coaching & counseling.
