Job Description
The ideal candidate should think of herself/himself as a startup minded engineer ready to take ownership and make large, immediate contributions. You can truly think through the product and help in product decisions and roadmap, develop smart and intuitive interfaces and are capable of tackling anything else that might come up within the development realm.
Specifically, you will:
- Design, scope, and implement new systems and features—from processing financial transactions to aggregating data on customers, to analyzing metrics and loan performance information
- Work with Product Management, Marketing, and Business to establish features, priorities, and timelines. This ranges from devising an attribution system for TV commercials, to establishing relationships with third party data providers.
- Lead and mentor more junior team members and perform as a subject matter expert in your field of expertise.
Skills & Requirements
Through the use of your:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in CS or related discipline. Advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience designing and developing high transactional web applications including 2.5 years experience using RoR.
- Experience working with common Internet technologies (e.g. CSS, HTML, JavaScript, AJAX).
- Experience with RESTful API’s.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain technical issues to a non-technical audience.
- Strong work ethic and a can do attitude.
