Senior PHP/MySQL Developer - USA

Job Description

We are looking for an awesome engineer who will work on the new generation of social networking in a fun working environment. We are in a very early startup and want someone who is ready to be a part of our friendly, laid-back, and passionate team. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in software development, and technical experience in Linux enterprise servers in a multiple server and high availability environment. Experience in Windows database environment is a plus. Strong understanding and familiarity with Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Foursquare functionalities and APIs are necessary.

We want to hire the best with a win/win purpose. You will be a part of a growing tech team and as the project's technical lead, the position includes the following responsibilities: coding, managing and mentoring Junior developers, set up framework and any tools needed for efficient development, help with Junior hiring process/interviews, create and plan for an highly scalable infrastructure (coding optimization, servers, DB, etc.)

Skills & Requirements

Required Experience and Qualifications
- BS/BA/equivalent in computer information technology, computer science, management systems or related discipline
- 7+ years relevant work experience in PHP and database experience (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL)
- Application design/architecture experience
- Fluent in JavaScript, CSS, HTML, JQuery and AJAX platforms
- Experience with either PL/SQL or ANSI-SQL scripting languages
Non-technical requirements: 
- Strong analytical skills and ability to transform requests into easy–to-use, robust solutions
- Ability to meet aggressive implementation deadlines
- Strong communications skills with ability to interact at all levels of organization
- Team lead and mentoring experience
Desirable Experience/Qualifications
- Experience with classic ASP and .NET
- Content Management System a plus
- Experience with design reviews
