Job Description
| The Role As an experienced Java developer you are responsible for leading a team to create and implement high quality software. Ideal candidates will also be responsible for reviewing the requirements, designing, implementing, testing and deploying mobile application software that promotes reuse and system-wide scalability. Candidates must have the ability to un most aspects of a project(s) from end-to-end (full cycle). They must be able to interface with the product design staff, architect a solution, estimate project time line and requirements, lead a team in the execution of their plan and interact with the QA and operations groups to ensure timeliness and quality of project delivery. The ideal candidate will be able to mentor and conduct hands-on code reviews with junior developers and they will work with their peers to develop long term architectural strategy. Experience working with offshore or remote teams is a plus. General Overview Ideal candidates have experience with the following: * Energetic and self motivated * Empowered to maintain/achieve high performance standards * Working in a fast paced, complex environment * Working with off-shore development teams * Project/Team leadership * Gels well with development and cross-functional teams (a true team player) * Provide mentorship in areas of expertise * Coachable and open to learning new experience(s) * Problem solver Requirements: Required * 4+ years of Java programming experience. * 2+ years mobile apps development * Shipped mobile application(s). * Understanding of the full mobile development life cycle. * Deep knowledge of mobile SDK framework. * Knowledge of Java, Web Services, XML * Solid knowledge in either Perl or Java with familiarity in at least one other * Extensive experience in development for the web * Software Design Experience * Bachelor's Degree in the technical field from an accredited University Preferred * JavaScript | CSS expertise * YUI Framework * Automated testing * Oracle * Experienced in full software development cycles with maintenance releases * Work as a participant of a Scrum team * Master's Degree For immediate consideration eMail Resumes with hourly rates to: Bob.Russ@RHT.com **** Bob A.
